Privacy policy
Updated on 22/10/2026
This policy explains what data ouvir.net collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018).
1. Who is responsible
ouvir.net is the controller of the data processed on the portal. For any privacy matter, contact our data protection officer at adm@ouvir.net.
2. Data we collect
- Account: name, email and password (stored only as an irreversible hash). If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only the name and email they confirm; we never receive your password for those services.
- Favorites and preferences: the stations you favorite and your chosen language.
- Stations: the details of a registered station (name, logo, stream, city, contacts, social profiles, schedule) and, for ownership requests, the information and proof submitted.
- Audience and usage: every 30 seconds, each open tab reports the open page and whether a station is playing, together with the IP address, device type, browser and referring site. An approximate location (city and state) is calculated from the IP on our own server.
- Listens: for the "Most listened" ranking we count one listen per visitor per station per day, without storing who listened.
- On your device: your browser stores recently played stations, podcast episode positions and a random code that identifies the visit. This data stays on your device.
3. Why we use it
- To create and maintain your account, favorites and station panel (performance of the service you requested).
- To measure the audience of the portal and stations, improve the service and protect the portal against abuse and fraud (legitimate interest).
- To process paid plans for stations and billing (performance of contract and legal obligation).
- To answer support, correction and removal requests.
We do not sell personal data and do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
- Google and Facebook: only when you choose to sign in with them, and only to confirm your identity.
- Billing system and website platform: for stations on paid plans, the data needed to bill and create the station's site or app.
- Infrastructure providers: servers and email delivery, processing data only to provide the service to ouvir.net.
- Authorities: when required by law or court order.
Visitors' IP addresses are not sent to any other company to determine location.
5. How long we keep it
- Visit details (IP, approximate location, pages): 7 days. After that only totals remain, without identifying anyone.
- Account, favorites and station data: while the account exists. After deletion we erase or anonymize it, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Security and audit logs: as long as needed to protect the portal and comply with the law.
6. Security
We use secure connections (https), passwords stored as irreversible hashes, encrypted IP storage and access restricted to the ouvir.net team.
7. Your rights
You may request at any time: confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion, information about sharing and review of decisions. Just write to adm@ouvir.net. We reply within 15 days.
If your browser is set not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), the audience data described above is not sent.
8. How to delete your data
To delete your account and the data linked to it, including if you signed in with Google or Facebook, send an email to adm@ouvir.net with the subject "Data deletion", from the account's email address. We confirm the request and complete the deletion within 15 days. You can also remove ouvir.net's access in the app settings of your Google or Facebook account.
9. Children and teenagers
Anyone can use ouvir.net without an account. Accounts are intended for people over 13; those under 18 must have their guardians' permission.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of the page and important changes will be announced on the portal.
